SWF’s Associate Director Emma Pavey was invited to join a panel on women’s ageing at Wesley’s Memorial Church in Oxford on 23rd May, 2026, part of a day on Women and Methodism organised and hosted by Prof Bev Clack for the Westminster College Oxford Research Network. She joined historian Ruth Slatter and Bev on the panel and spoke about findings from her ongoing project on perimenopause, menopause and theology.
In addition to the panel, the keynote speakers for the day were Dr Priscilla Pope-Levison of SMU, Texas, speaking about research for her new book New Man’s Land: The International Methodist Deaconess Movement, 1874-1918 – Wesleyan and Methodist Explorations, and the Rev’d Novette Headley, who reflected on her years of ministry.
