The Susanna Wesley Foundation is pleased to share that our sponsored DTh scholar, Cristina Gangemi, has successfully defended her professional doctorate thesis, subject to minor corrections. The title of her thesis was “Value-able Ways to Know God: The Spiritual Writings of Edith Stein as Informing an Empathic Practice of Disability Theology”.
We have enjoyed supporting and working with Cris over the course of her doctorate. Cris has contributed to numerous SWF events and work, and is someone with whom we plan to continue working. Her thesis topic is such an important area of theological thinking and practice in church life, very much aligned with the Methodist Church’s commitment to Justice Dignity and Solidarity and the SWF’s own involvement in this area.
A big congratulations to Cris from all of us at the Susanna Wesley Foundation!
