In brief:
The Susanna Wesley Foundation is funding a series of three ecumenical gatherings for ordained ministers to reflect on their roles, share experiences, explore relational dynamics, discernment, and authenticity, fostering hope and connection within a supportive community.
Crafting Hope Together
In challenging times and with challenging roles, it is helpful to take time to step back and reflect in new ways on one’s ministry. In this series of 3 in-person, ecumenical gatherings you will have the opportunity to share frustrations and joys, strategies and stories with others in ministry. We will learn with, and from, each other as we explore relational dynamics, discernment and authenticity together.
The Susanna Wesley Foundation is funding this initiative, which means that we are able to offer it free of charge, including lunch and refreshments. Participants will pay their own travel costs.
We will create a space for contemplation, connection and learning. In whole group, smaller group, and individual settings, and incorporating a range of methods and ways of knowing, we will explore how we can “craft hope” together for life-giving ministry and the communities and causes you serve.
You will have time to focus, without distraction, on what matters to you, and you’ll bring your own insights and gifts to this peer-driven, ecumenical programme, connecting with others who are also seeking new energy and perspectives.
The in-person events will be in Tamworth, Staffordshire, just over an hour direct by train from London and with good transport links with the rest of the country. The first gathering will be the 23rd November from 10am – 4pm. This programme is still being crafted and will adapt to its participants to some extent so do contact us if you are interested in participating and we will schedule a short, one-to-one, online meeting with us as a first step. We look forward to hearing from you.
